Located in Deer Trail, Colorado, Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary is dedicated not only to the animals they rescue and provide a protected, loving home for for the rest of their days, but also sincerely believes in and advocates for not exploiting animals for any purpose. Their eyes are open to the deception behind the oft-promoted "humane" meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. They have written materials exposing the standard practices that even in small animal-use businesses, involve much cruelty and death.
Located in Co Meath, Ireland, Eden Farmed Animal Sanctuary is a vegan home where rescued farmed animals are given sanctuary for life, and where they are regarded with the dignity and respect that is their right. Many of the residents are ill, in pain, or deeply traumatised. Therefore, Eden is not usually open to the public. It is a private home to its residents, with the same standards of safety, peace, respect for boundaries, and freedom from unwanted intrusion that humans expect in their homes
Located in Mendon, Massachusetts, Maple Farm Sanctuary is equally dedicated to the animals they rescue and provide a safe and loving refuge for to roam and meander the land for the rest of their days. With equal sincerity, Cheri and Jim believe in and advocate for not exploiting animals for any purpose. Their eyes, too, are open to the falseness of the "humane" meat, fish, egg, and dairy marketing. On their site, Cheri recounts the profound change of heart that led them to transform their third generation goat dairy farm into a sanctuary.

It's the nation's largest natural habitat refuge developed specifically for elderly, sick or needy African and Asian elephants who have been freed from the imprisonment of zoos and circuses. It operates on 2,700 acres. As a true sanctuary, the habitat is closed to the public, but there is a public building away from where the elephants live where educational presentations happen and where the elephants can be observed via closed circuit cameras. The elephants are not forced to perform or entertain; they are encouraged to live like elephants. While this sanctuary does not promote veganism as the way of life most beneficial to other animals, the planet and ourselves, it does have the utmost interests of the elephants as the highest priority.
